Product attributes

The main attributes of this soap include:

i) Low COD - this is essential to ensure the wastewater generated after the treatment process has low COD values for environment conservation.

ii) Good detergency - to have better "cleaning" power in removing soil or assist in the de-inking process.

iii) Does not foam easily - contrary to toilet soap use, foaming is undesired as it complicates maintenance of the treatment pond.

iv) Good dissolution rate - this aspect is critical to ensure the soap dissolves quickly in the treatment pond and expedite the treatment process.

v) High solidification point - reducing tendency of soap crust formation in the treatment pond and energy conservation in heating the pond.

vi) Good heat stability
